Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Wax

Our Diamond Hard Floor Wax is just as tough as a floor varnish but leaves a more natural waxed finish. It can stand up to the heavy footfall, knocks, scrapes and scuffs that everyday life throws at it. And it dries in 30 minutes, so you can get back to walking on it sooner than you think.

Before You Start

Make sure you're in a warm room above 10°c. Open all doors and windows for the best ventilation.

Prep - Bare Floors

Give the wood a good sand. The best way to do this is with a floor sander. Make sure you wear a face mask as there will be a lot of dust. Then, wipe down with white spirit.

Prep – Previously Painted
Remove all previous coating and sand down the floor. The best way to do this is using a floor sander. Make sure you wear a face mask when doing this as there will be a lot of dust.

Using Your Floor Wax

Give the tin a good stir, then paint on the wax in the direction of the grain. For the best results, apply the wax to 3-4 floorboards at a time, this will help to avoid any overlap marks.

Apply 3 coats leaving 2 hours between coats. Before the final coat, give the floor a light sand, this will help the wax to stick.

The floor will be ready to walk on in 8 hours.

Does not do what it says on the tin. by RDC2012

Review posted on B&Q website on 19/09/15 along with supporting photographs. Wish I had read reviews prior to purchase. Followed exactly what it said on the tin and applied to new manufactured hard wood boards. After only two weeks there are numerous scuffs and scratches, one of which was caused by cardboard box being slid across the floor; last time I checked diamonds were harder than cardboard! Spoke to B&Q Erdington store who were not interested and advised I speak to Ronseal.

Brilliant stuff by Used on Oak stairs

we have oak stairs Which had been finished with a well known soft wax. This proved rubbish and regularly needed a new application. Ee stripped the stairs and appkied diamond hard. It Is brilliant givIng a low maintenance finish which looks good in spite of hard wear.
