TRIFLOW Total Metal Care can be used on all types of ferrous metals. On non ferrous metal such as aluminium and on freshly galvanised steel, a primer such as TRIFLOW For Priming Galvanised Metal should be used before applying TRIFLOW Total Metal Care For Gates and Railings.

Advanced triple protection
Triflow contains advanced anti corrosive technology to actively prevent rust for 5 years. Our formula works in three ways:
- Protect against oxygen and water attacking the metal surface
- Waterproof and protect against weather damage
- Actively remove and dissolve pre-existing rust
What finishes are available?
Smooth – Gives a beautiful, highly polished sheen to your garden metals
Hammered – Leaves a subtle hammered effect. Ideal for metal with minor imperfections.
Satin – Leaves garden metal with a soft and subtle sheen *
Matt – Ideal for areas where no sheen is required *

Benefits
No Primer Required
TRIFLOW can be applied directly to all types of ferrous metal, including bare metal, rusty metal or previously painted metal without the use of a primer. For use on galvanised steel or non ferrous metals see "Where can it be used?"
Easy Flow Formula
TRIFLOW is specially formulated to be easy to brush on. It does not become sticky on the brush during use.

TRIFLOW resists running and sagging when applied to vertical surfaces.
How to use TRIFLOW Total Metal Care
Before you start
Make sure the surface is clean and dry. Degrease by wiping over with white spirit. Remove any loose rust with abrasive paper or a wire brush. TRIFLOW can then be applied directly. No primer is required for ferrous metal.
Application
Stir well before and during use. Do not thin. Apply thick even coats. On previously painted metal in reasonable condition 1 thick coat should suffice. On bare metal 2/3 coats are required. Typical dry time is 1 to 2 hours dependent on conditions and thickness of coat applied. Apply further coats within 8 hours or wait 3 days before doing so. Coverage 4-5 square metres per litre.
Aftercare - Clean Up
Remove as much product from the brush as possible. Wash out brushes in white spirit. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty into drains or watercourses.
Wise Precautions
Special Precautions should be taken during the surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metals as they may contain harmful lead. To avoid risk of spillage, always transport in a secure and upright position.
