Mould on walls and ceilings won't go away with a coat of ordinary paint. It needs to be killed first, then stopped from coming back, and our anti-mould paint and treatment range does both.
Start with 3 in 1 Mould Killer to wipe out existing mould and protect against regrowth. Then finish with 6 Year Anti Mould Paint, a tough, scrubbable, steam-resistant emulsion that stops common mould growing for up to six years. For small patches, awkward corners or ceilings, the 6 Year Anti Mould Aerosol sprays on easily and is dry in 10 minutes.
Ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and anywhere prone to condensation, it's a complete mould treatment for walls, not just a mould resistant paint.
How to treat mould on walls and ceilings
- Kill it. Spray 3 in 1 Mould Killer onto the affected area. Don't sand mould off, because that spreads the spores.
- Let it dry. Paint as soon as the surface is dry. Timing depends on how much spray you used and how warm the room is.
- Protect it. Use 6 Year Anti Mould Paint for whole walls and ceilings, or the Anti Mould Aerosol for patches and awkward corners.

ANTI MOULD PAINT & TREATMENTS FAQS
Does anti-mould paint work?
Yes. It stops common mould growing on the painted surface for up to six years. It doesn't fix what causes mould, such as condensation, leaks or poor ventilation, so tackle those too for the best results.
Can you paint over mould?
No. Painting straight over mould traps it under the paint, and it will come back through. Kill it with a mould killer first, let the surface dry, then apply anti-mould paint.
How do you treat mould before painting?
Spray it with a mould killer and leave the surface to dry. Don't sand or scrape mould off, because that spreads the spores.
What's the difference between anti-mould paint and anti-condensation paint?
Anti-mould paint stops mould growing on the surface. Anti-condensation paint is designed to reduce condensation forming in the first place. In rooms with heavy condensation, you may need both.
Should I use anti-mould paint or an anti-mould spray?
Use paint for whole walls and ceilings in bathrooms and kitchens. Use the aerosol for small patches, corners, around windows and on ceilings where a roller is awkward. It's dry in 10 minutes.
Can I use anti-mould paint on a bathroom ceiling?
Yes. It resists steam and moisture, so it suits bathroom and kitchen ceilings as well as walls.
