How to use our Smooth Masonry Filler

Before you start

Ensure surface and cracks are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contamination using our Masonry Fungicidal Wash.

Application

Pack the filler well into the area of repair, ensuring the filler is slightly proud of the surface being filled. For deeper repairs above 20mm, build the filler up in layers, ensuring the filler has dried between applications. Smooth over filler with the Ronseal applicator or a wet knife prior to drying. If necessary, sand to a smooth finish once dried hard. Avoid the inhalation of dust and wear a suitable face mask when sanding. Drying time approximately 1-2 hours depending on size and depth of hole. Cold and damp conditions may extend dry time.

Aftercare

To prevent product from drying out, ensure the plastic film is pushed firmly onto the surface of the filler and lid is tightly closed. Tools should be washed in warm water immediately after use. Remove excess product from the tools prior to cleaning. Store away from areas of extreme temperatures and protect from frost.
